The technique is to build the snow up gradually around the sides.As it gets higher,the snow actually bonds and gets quite strong.And does not exert any force against the dome. It can then support the snow that we put on top of it.
The process takes 8 to 12 hours, building up gradually, and allowing the snow to set along the way.
